If you wanted to be particularly gracious winners, I think they would allow you to go and vote for McCain, so his feelings aren't hurt too badly... (But really, I'm not kidding. This means that all of the "undecided" states from a week ago are still that way, including OH and FL. There's no reason to lose focus this close to the finish line.

In fact, it seems to be the most guaranteed blue states around and the biggest out of all of them. But it kind of sucks that I dont feel I have any real say for some reason although its been that way before of course. And yeah, one thing I heard that COULD happen in this race is similar to Gore/Bush back in 2000 and there's a chance even if McCain somehow pulls this out of his you know what and wins this, the odds are very high Obama will win the popular vote. We saw that happen in 2000 and it would bug the hell out of me, ESPECIALLY in this race, if that happened here. If it does, its seriously time to rethink the electorial vote process.

Why should it be different for Presidential elections? Should we all have to vote on every bill that's trying to get passed? If not, where do you draw the line, and how do you make sure everybody is alright with that? Isn't that why we created the government in the first place?

If a candidate earns 49% of the popular vote in a state they should get the same percentage of that's state's electoral votes. Otherwise it really does make one vote useless. I live in Texas and I'm voting loud and proud for Obama. But that won't do him a bit of good, because - as I said - I live in Texas. And all of our electoral votes are going to go to the popular vote winner, regardless of what percentage Obama garners. O.K. I admit Texas isn't a great example.
