    I'd rather watch cooking shows.

Lawrence O'Donnell and Rachel Maddow offer some good left-leaning reporting; Chris Matthews is talking heads analyzing politics. Schultz is the odd-man out.

I did watch him some during the Wisconsin protests; he managed to be passionate without going off the rails. But except for that... I really don't need the kind of outrage that mirrors the right-wing outrage shows where (in Schultz' case) things that don't warrant it (some congressman says something stupid, or something) get the same outrage as things that actually do warrant it (Bush admin flunkies still justifying torture, say). It's just all outrage all the time, and it's exhausting.

O'Donnell is hit or miss for me, and I love me some calm-and-highly-intelligent Rachel, but when she's over and Ed comes on, it's time to reach for the remote.

Agreed. I find him almost impossible to watch sometimes. I agree with his politics, but he can often be too dogmatic.

No it's a byproduct of being a person who Has a leftist view of life, and that is not normal at the mans age.

As Churchill said, if your not a liberal at 18 you have no heart, if your not a conservative at 40 you have no brain.

And alot if anger comes out at people who disagree with a liberal because there is not a thought process going on, it's all emotions.

    It's just sad.

Mr Maddow is like a mannequin, he sits there and just repeats silly ideas that have failed for 50 years.

Trust me that's the better option. A little Guy Fieri, some Bobby Flay, some Giada DeLaurentis(funny I never know what she cooks)it's made me much happier. Or watch people build a deck or renovate a bathroom.

I don't even make it up to the news channels or even better watch the news on Univision. At least you get to look at good looking women(or men)

It depends on who it is, DD. I enjoyed watching Norm and Steve, many years ago. Didn't Steve leave This Old House to do something with eco-housing on Planet Green or HGTV? I haven't seen that in years, so I don't know how long that lasted.

Guy Fieri is great, but I always get the munchies while watching "Triple D." Not good if you're trying to watch the calorie intake! hahaha

Yeah, I can't watch his shows, because everything is too fatty or high-calorie for me. It sure looks good sometimes, but I need to turn away, so I'm not tempted...

When I was pregnant with my son I stopped working when I was 6 months along. I was home all day and I always had the Food Network on. Pregnant women and the Food Network are a dangerous combo...I would have so many cravings in a day, and I kept calling my now ex-husband to pick stuff up for me that he put me on a ten item a day limit :)
