    - what services were offered there when it was a working bank

    - how long was it a bank; what year did it close and has it only been an annual pass center since then

    - where did they get the documents that are hung on the wall & what exactly are they

Also if you know of any books out there that would have this information that would be great. I know you guys will be able to help me out!

    LPers rock!

An amusing story-- for many years the BofA on Main Street was quite busy on New Year's Day. Since it was the only bank open that day, several merchants would take the receipts from New Year's Eve there for a secure deposit.

I seem to recall that the documents on the walls are Spanish Land Grants, used as proofs in Chain of Title proceedings.

You do know that the Bank of Main Street no longer functions in any way as a bank, right?

Within the last few years there were ATM services inside the lobby; this is now located outside the bank.

There was also a free penny press in the bank for a couple of years, to encourage children to save. (How that was supposed to work is anyone's guess!)

Actually, the Bank of America would have continued to sponsor small world, but Mr. Eisner wanted an international sponsor. So the BofA was sent away in favor of Mattel, who sponsored small world in every theme park around the world. That is why we also got that toy shop at the exit. And then, of course, Mattel left, and now there is no sponsor at all. But there's still a toy shop...

Well, with the exception of Tokyo Disneyland. They had their own Sponsor, which has changed over the years.
