Recently conservative Utahns were up in arms after Huntsman said he favored civil unions for gay couples. Less than 12 hours after his appointment as ambassador to China, plenty of Utahns have already cheered his departure, saying it's about time the "liberal" got out of the state. Huntsman's the only Republican I've voted for in a long, LONG time. Gary Herbert, the lieutenant governor and his replacement, is much more a Utah conservative, complete with anti-gay agenda. Bummer.
