Originally Posted By Mr X Yeah...actually I think that's a legit lawsuit. Those nano iPods are total crap, seriously. And they are very expensive to boot! In fact, I had to help a friend return her unit to the apple store in Japan and we were given the run-around for about an hour (this this was scratched beyond belief...total garbage...couldn't see the display or anything! and it was 2 weeks old!)... FINALLY, they admitted that their product was faulty and refunded her money...so she was able to upgrade to a regular iPod by shelling out some more cash (well worth it!). I've read about some really dumb lawsuits, but in my opinion this really is a situation where the product is quite flimsy and faulty and people are not getting what they pay for! (and, for the record, I am a big fan of Apple products in general...I own an iPod, a Powerbook, and an iMac as well!)

That and "goggle" for "google".

Originally Posted By SingleParkPassholder "I hate to point this out, but "spelt" is not a word, either." IIRC, debtee is Australian. Possibly "spelt" is a cultural thing.

Point: We are too litigious.

Originally Posted By Mr X I agree...Americns are WAY too litigious. I've said that several times on LP too, I think. The funny thing I'm hearing about lately is class action lawsuits from deadbeats who can't pay for their million dollar homes suing THE MORTGAGE COMPANIES because, get this, they never should have gotten the loans in the first place. So they are blaming the lenders for their own lies and faults...when it was THEIR signature on the dotted line in the first place (way to be responsible). I'm not explaining that too well, but anyway it's a lawsuit happy culture we live in anyway.
