Her short walk to the couch seemed interminable thanks to the fact that there was literally not one bit of audible applause or cheering. But that just meant you could hear the tune the Roots played her on with more clearly. Playing a more subdued song would have also made the silence a little more apparent. But by choosing this song, once again Bachmann gets sympathy for being the victim of rude behavior. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

It underscored how vapid she is. Of course, she retreated to her stale talking points, but it made for fun reading, and it was fair ball. This thing by the Roots, and using an obviously bad photo on a national magazine cover (Was it Time? Newsweek?) is stupid. I'd like to see more candidates of both parties appearing on shows outside their political comfort zone. This sort of stunt threatens that.

Would that mean that Marcus would actually be running the country instead of Michele? And to demonstrate the subservient principles she supposedly lives by each and every day, Bachmann served drinking water to her fellow candidates on the debate stage before the event began. Unbelievable! Seriously, Michele? You want people to see you as the leader of the free world while you're serving water *to the men* like some minimum wage Denny's waitress before the debate? You're an elected Representative of Congress! Sit down and act like it, fer cryin out loud. I can't wait for the GOP to reinvent themselves back to being moderates who are willing to work and compromise with the Dems. This circus act has got to stop soon, if we're ever to get our nation off its current path of self-destruction.
