    It's only one senator, but it's a two-term GOP senator who has uttered the words "I care more for this country than I do about Grover Norquist". Hopefully, this is how the badly needed bipartisanship starts. Debt CANNOT be reduced by cutting alone, or trading off closing loopholes with cuts. More revenue is needed. Period. Good for Senator Chambliss.

    Exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure that the right-wing media will start howling at any moment, and that will be the end of this "stand" against Norquist.

    Great news, SuperDry! I only hope that my senators will join in the rejection of Grover Norquist's reign of terror, but I really, REALLY doubt they will. And not too sure Ted Cruz (incoming new Senator from Texas) would jump into the anti-Norquist camp.

    Grover is almost a messiah figure for the GOP. And it's all so reductive. Almost cartoonish. The real world is far more complex than what Grover can offer as a solution. And he got enormous influence (I guess greed will that).
