The elderly show up like clockwork. So with polls as close as they are in Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina, there's a good chance McCain will take those. Fortunately, it looks like his chances of taking Pennsylvania are a long shot. Right now, Obama can lose Ohio and Florida and still have a 70%+ chance of winning the election. McCain doesn't have that luxury; the numbers have to go perfectly for him.

This weekend you can take your cell phone and use your free nights and weekends to make calls. If you live in a state that borders a swing state, you can drive and canvass. You'll watch the poll numbers close a bit this week; we can't give McCain a chance to build momentum!

I mean its almost like watching people turn out for a Miley Cyrus concert vs a LaToya Jackson one .

For the next eight days, they could all decide to run with a continuing commentary about how amazing it is that a man who is half-African-American is commanding the biggest lead in any recent presidential election. Or they could decide that it would be better for ratings/readership (read: revenue) to try to even out the race. Maybe they'll print more articles about allegations that Obama is Muslim, maybe they'll make a big push again about how polls can't be trusted when one of the candidates is Black, or maybe they'll decide to make a new, big, last-minute, breathless story out of one of the many whacko "tips" that they receive constantly from non-credible sources.
