Most of them are nothing more than parasitic bloodsuckers, draining the quality of life and vitality from the greater population of this nation.

It means that there is going to be a significant shift of seats from Democrats to Republicans. Is that because the same polls show that voters believe Republicans are any better? No. In fact, these polls indicate that voters blame Republicans for most of the troubles that the country is in right now. However, at the ballot box next November, these same voters would rather show their anger and eject an incumbent for a candidate that they believe will cause more harm to the country. It's a Catch-22 situation. You oust the incumbents from one party and have to deal with the ilk from the opposition party. Of course, I honestly believe that most politicians in Washington see the handwriting on the wall -- conditions in this country are likely to get much worse before they get better. I doubt either party has much enthusiasm to be in control for the next several years. They'd rather just keep things in a state of quagmire where nothing gets done so that no one can really get the blame for the looming mess ahead.

All the research on this phenomenon says that when the average Amurcan says "vote the bums out," they mean all the bums except for *their* bum. So very few actually get voted out.
