Sure, they have differing viewpoints on a lot of things, but who doesn't. This way, they can assue voters that they will consider things from different sides, even if they don't really. It also makes sense that she would propose it, since she seems to be the one that's behind right now, even if she is making a comeback. While it's news that they are actually considering it, it's hardly a new idea, and it's pretty much what's done in every election ever.

    But although it would make sense, it will never happen. Obama has way too much ego to play second fiddle to Hillary in a position that is largely nothing.

    I don't think Hillary would except the VP nod and campaign with Obama unless he shifted gears and adopted her health care plan. That seems to be the one subject that really motivates her the most. I can't imagine she would compromise and join forces with someone that wasn't advocating a universal health care program.
