<Tyrone Brooks is a Democratic State Senator in the Georgia Legislature. Do you notice that so many of the assault and murder stories that I present on this blog are centered in Southwest Atlanta? Well this makes up a portion of Tyrone Brooks' district. (US Rep John Lewis as well).

If someone did not come in and make note that while Senator Brooks is dogged about finding the White folks who killed these 4 Black people 63 years ago........he is quite silent about the "Warm Case Murders" that have been taking place in his district over the past several years.

Let me say very clearly - I AM NOT SEEKING TO DIVERT ATTENTION away from these lynchings. All who have murdered anyone in this manner should be put to death!

I am forced to see these antics done by Senator Brooks and the rest of the Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials as one of diversion from the key issues of today!! They realize the emotional tie that Black people have to the Civil Rights Era. They are office holders, presiding over the murder that is taking place within their own districts today. What better way to escape accountability for the conditions that have been rendered than to get the Black community to focus upon the long ago past?

However I refuse to be silent as a make note of the context of our present circumstances that has Senator Brooks and other operatives to view the death of these Black people at the hands of White people done 63 years ago as a SUPERIOR threat than the one that exists today in Southwest Atlanta and other places.>>

4 sm. pkgs. Jello brand gelatin
2 1/2 c. boiling water (do not add cold water)

Stir boiling water into gelatin. Dissolve completely. Pour mixture slowly into 13"x9" pan. Chill at least 3 hours. (Jigglers will be firm after 1 hour but may be difficult to remove from pan.) To cut jigglers, dip bottom of pan in warm water 15 seconds to loosen gelatin. Cut shapes with cookie cutters all the way through gelatin. Lift with index finger or metal spatula. If jigglers stick, dip pan again in warm water for a few more seconds. For 1 dozen jigglers, cut ingredients in half and use 8" or 9" square pan.
