    First and foremost, I'm saddened by any person despondent enough to kill themselves.

    But on the other hand; if it was done because he's gotten himself mixed up in the robber baron game of "screw the public" that so many wall street companies have been playing for so many year..and simply found his regret to be too much to bear, I say "Kudos!". And I hope a lot more of them decide to take that most honorable route.

    Um, what????

    I am sorry. Suicide is never an honorable route. Confessing to what he has done and dealing with any consequences would be the honorable route.

    I totally agree with your first mind though Mr X. It really saddens me that anyone would be that despondent.

    It still isn't clear why he did it. Presumably it was because of Freddie Mac's financial woes, but according the article he had only been in the position since September after the government took over the company.

    Never said it was. I didn't call for these peoples' deaths, I'm just saying if more of them go this route I wouldn't shed any tears over it.

    So are you saying the Japanese are wrong? If we're all about respecting other people's beliefs all the damn time, then how about respecting the belief that suicide is noble, even if you disagree with it?

    Call it heartless, but I'm glad he's dead too. Of course, I don't know enough about this CFO to know if I'm glad he's dead, but I have a feeling I'll be ambivalent about it.
