The guy who makes these is a professional comedian, look at his other work on spoofing videos in youtube. Truth is, McCain is just easier to make fun of than Obama (muuuuuch easier ) and him wondering around stage in the second debates didnt help lol. That was just priceless!
Originally Posted By SuperDry <<< Oh c'mon, its just having some fun with McCain. The guy who makes these is a professional comedian >>> I do realize that. I guess what rubs me the wrong way is that I know too many people on the far right who are highly influenced by things like this (but obviously coming from the opposite direction). One person in particular gets essentially all of his information from professional entertainers that masquerade as newspeople on the radio or a certain cable news channel. I get links to various things sent from him, and they always are things like these clips that he thinks support his point of view and prove his point, rather than just being something to laugh at. To give an example, the person I'm thinking of is staunchly against the whole notion of global warming. Yet, on every single particular point about the matter he makes, he directly quotes something that Dennis Miller said and thinks he's getting the straight story. I've considered pointing out the fallacy of getting all of one's scientific facts from a partisan stand-up comedian, but the fact that he's on the "fair and balanced" channel would negate anything I could possibly say. This sort of thing just drives me up the wall, and I don't like to see it in the context of political discussion, whether or not I happen to agree with the underlying notion. And, although I'm not going to be voting for McCain in November, I did vote for him in the primary, and did attend a fundraising event and saw him in person a few months ago. The notion that he's a feeble old "Mr. Magoo" type of character is completely off the mark. These videos would be funny if the topic at hand were not so serious. As always, just my opinion.

That tells me that people out there LOVES political humor and satire. In fact, ALL these shows numbers are up now: John Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Letterman, etc. People seem to like laughing at these people as much as listening to what they have to say. And you're right though, some people are influenced by this stuff and perception is a powerful thing, which is why some people still think Obama is a muslim and why Palin apparently cant boil water lol. But, I think, and I could be 100% wrong, these skits and jokes that is done on the internet and on network shows really play to the 'base'. If people already thinks Palin is stupid, the SNL Tina Fey skits is just adding to what they think of her already. Hell, that's been happening with Bush for two terms now, he still got elected twice regardless. I dont know if someone else on the other side perceptions of their candidate is changed because of it or an undecided is swayed because of stuff like this (but damn, this would make a great paper for one of my classes now lol), but it can be a factor. Anyway, I get what you are saying, but I dont know if someone who turns into a show like John Stewart everyday that doesnt exactly hides its bias is A. people who dont already agree with that viewpoint and B. doesnt look at it anymore than just clever political humor no matter how it makes the candidate look. Man, its sounding waaaay too serious for McCain Brains boards lol. This is McCain's Brain channel, it should be celebrated, not questioned by anyone ;D.

That's very different from these one-sided video clips that get circulated about on the Internet.

(Woah, I am arguing that the media really is too liberal, I better stop it before RT catches on lol)

"McCain" said (referring to Cindy): "Nope, too late. Touch her." That hit my funny bone, because it was fast, sharp, and almost seemed real. The rest was okay, but only okay for me.
