And the joke is those types of people probably go to church every Sunday and pray for God to cure that poor little boy. But sadly, when someone actually offers them a way to help cure him, i.e. by raising taxes to pay for his health care, they cry foul and don't want to pay!! It would be funny if it wasn't so depressing!

We just need anyone who's against healthcare reform and a Christian to stop going to the doctor. Should be easy - I'm pretty sure those people carrying swastikas and guns to town halls call themselves Christians. Let's start with them.

Remember all the screaming about the US automakers having to deal with the weight of the pensions affecting their ability to be profitable? The same thing is going to, and already is happening with health care coverage. Without reform, the burden will be pushed from employer to employee, which will not help the already stretched balance sheets of everyday Americans. What you do not pay in taxes you will pay in increased premiums, co-pays, OOP expenses, etc. Or you will go without. And a US work force made up with people who don't go to the doctor when they are sick, or get treatment for their ailments is not going to help businesses remain competitive with the rest of the Western world, because it will start to have an effect on productivity. Sick people don't perform as well as healthy people. Sick people have to be replaced more frequently, which impacts hiring/training costs as well as the impact of "brain drain."

Either get sick kids help or take kids education away. DAR, how much do we pay Halliburton? How much do we pay Blackwater? Ironically, the Republicans you're so quick to defend funnel government money to big businesses or support them with obscene tax breaks. We could easily afford this stuff if we changed that kind of behavior. The money is there, DAR. It's just that no one wants to give up their piece of the pie, so they paint absurd pictures of death panels and kids being booted from school, just so we can pay for healthcare.

But if I do help pay for your credentials then you owe me when you land a job. If you're a dentist I have a third molar you can pull for free.

So what, you're ok with giving your money away to help others, but only when you feel like it? That's the system we've got now, and yet still, even with all these charities you're so fond of, we still have millions of people without proper health coverage.
