It was a really short walk to the park, its not much more than right accros the street. I would certainly recomend it based on my experience, if you are looking for an economic, clean place to sleep at night. =) Have fun

It's interesting that there are many extremes at this hotel. Some swear it's dirty, some say it's great. I wonder if there's an older section vs a newer remodeled section? I know from personal experience we had a flithy room with cockroaches at the Park Vue Inn & others have stayed there & thought it was great. It's just nice to have many reviews (IMO) so you can make an educated decision.

None of our 60 some odd middle school kids complained about the walk, but I think they were to excitted to be in DL to care much. It wasnt a terrible walk in my oppinion, but then I dont mind walking and am sometimes appaled that people think it is too far to walk form Candy Cane Inn for example.=) Long story short it is a walkable distance, but much farther than Castle Inn which is just across the street from the park. Hope I didnt ramble too much and actually helped with something =)

Originally Posted By myers thanks, clarion sounds like a nicer hotel but further away and normally that would be fine but my mom is coming with us this time and she has arthritis in her ankles and it would probly be fine in the morning but after she's walked all day in the parks the shorter distance to the hotel the better, if there was a shuttle that was easy and not to much that would work for the end of the day......clarion is much cheaper than any others so far....
