Originally Posted By mawnck Please note that Fathom projects these suckers using the computer projectors that run the slides before the movies - not on the theatrical-grade digital projectors they use for the "real" features. They're also trying to fool you with terminology: "High Definition" is dramatically lower resolution than normal theatrical projection. In short, you're getting the same quality you'd get from watching at home, except spread out on a bigger screen so it's darker and fuzzier. There is something to be said for watching in an auditorium with a nice sound system and an audience, but you're essentially just looking at the dang Blu-Ray, as will be obvious if you peak into any of the other theaters to compare the quality. Spend your entertainment dollars accordingly.
