Well this has the potential to be a faux pas along the likes of Bush I puking at that state dinner. Or Clinton probably hitting on some foreign dignitaries wife.

Okay, this is quite a bit more significant than I originally thought. It's not some box set from Wal-Mart (as the noise machine would lead you to believe), but rather a one of a kind collection specially chosen by the AFI.

    What faux pas?

Certainly nothing as bad as puking on someone. Come on!

Well when you see what Brown gave to Obama, it does look a little chintzy.

And they were specially chosen by the AFI. Well then it's good to know that the Prime Minister of Great Britain and myself have similiar dvds.

It's getting late, so I'm going to catch a few winks.

Apparently, it is already outlawed. The only reason the gifts are accepted, according to white house logs, is because rejecting such a gift would cause international tension.

Screw that, reject all of it.

If one wants to give a gift informally as one friend to another, let them do it in private. It's up to the President or official in question to declare it for tax purposes if required.

Well, turns out I called it. Brown can't even watch the DVD's because of the region code.

That said, Kevin Rudd, Australia's Prime Minister will be leaving here to visit Obama in a few days, so I'm guessing Obama's gift will be a little nicer now. Trust me, whatever it will be, we are going to now here about it on every newscast here ;).

I'm guessing the way Rudd spends the cash here, Obama will get something very shiney ;).
