Thursday is the night of the first vice presidential debate between U.S. Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in St. Louis.

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is scheduled to give a speech this morning on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney still plans to make an appearance on behalf of McCain on Thursday.

Also in Reno, President Bush will speak Friday at the Silver Legacy hotel-casino to the White House Conference on North American Wildlife Police.

I left my thoughts on where he'll be... Thanks to LP (2oony, if I remember right) for the use of "Caribou Barbie." ;-)

I'm guessing hidden in the light rigging above the debate stage, with a pea shooter and knock out dart ready to go at a moment's notice.

I think I may have been the first to use it on LP, but it wasn't original. I don't remember where I first heard it. I suspect it was in an editorial on Huffington Post. Or something.

Speaking of, I wonder if this topic has any connection to this?

    >> (Ross) Perot told me that McCain had a gambling problem and he had uncovered details that McCain was bailed out in the late 1980s from a big gambling debt by his wife, Cindy.

If true, it raises a question as to whether McCain's gambling might ever have put him in a situation where he was pressed to repay his debt through Senatorial favors.<<

He's not very popular here - despite the fact that our state is *usually* leaning to the red.
