The bush administration didn't like that answer and the end result was that Gonzales fired them. Out of 1.3 million new registrants, there were some registrations that were invalidated. Most were invalidated BY ACORN themselves. However federal law (understandably) requires that ALL registration forms that have been completed be submitted.
