    It's just kind of show-offy in a weird way, to me. People are already confused about what Alaskan culture is and this so doesn't help.

    Well, more or less. Acutally I've never eaten anything moose in my life. But I HAVE seen it on menus here. Not the nose thing though. That would be too weird. Like sushi.

    Not as goofy as it sounds. I work with lots of hunters (I am not a hunter, but that's another thread altogether) and they bring in deer jerky, deer meatballs, deer stew, deer sausage - you get the idea.
    They love to share, but I've never tried nay of it, thankyouverymuch.

    So the moose dishes don't seem that unusual to me.

    I've lived many years (on and off) in Alaska and we mostly ate seafood. I realize Wasilla isn't the same as an island but it just seemed so bleh. I just want her to fall off the face of the Earth. Now.
