Survey USA results for Prop. 74 and 75 are pretty much within the findings of earlier polls by the Field Institute and the Public Policy Institute of California. The difference comes in the last two measures. -- On Proposition 77, Survey USA found 58 percent of those surveyed favored the governor's call for retired judges to redraw the state's political boundaries. In contrast, earlier Field and Public Policy Institute polls showed support for the redistricting measure in the low 30s. -- And on Proposition 76, Survey USA found 59 percent going for the measure to allow the governor to cut spending if the state doesn't have enough money to cover the tab. << Why the difference between the Field Poll and Survey USA?, Here is Daniel Weintraub from the Sacramento Bee to explain it http://www.sacbee.com/static/w eblogs/insider/ >>It's a SurveyUSA poll done for some California television stations. The firm's polls have taken flak in the past because they use recorded voices to question voters. But they do have a decent track record. One thing unique about this particular poll is that it uses very short, simple (but accurate) questions on the ballot measures instead of the more legalistic ballot language preferred by the established California public polls, like Field and PPIC. The biggest difference between this poll's results and earlier public polls is that this one shows independents siding with Schwarzenegger rather than against him.<< And here are the actual Poll numbers, with more detailed info... http://www.surveyusa.com/clien t/PollReport.aspx?g=2acfd89d-dd50-4a58-a207-dc3e0eb76038
