My thoughts go out to him and any other family members.

I believe something like 85% of people die within 5 years of diagnosis. It makes you wonder why people would choose to smoke (before I get blasted, my husband and both parents smoke, and I know that Dana Reeve didn't smoke).

Since he's been gone, I've used his wife as a motivating force role model in my life, but now?????????????? Life is so ephemeral. She was such a great human being as was Chris. Chris used to do volunteer work here on the Cape to save the bay, etc. What a tragedy. God must have a great eternity in a very special place in Heaven for those two people.

Anyway, you have to figure there's a better reward for Reeve where she is now, because she sure paid her dues here on earth.

My niece just had surgery to remove a tumor from her lung and thank God it was not cancerous. She is only 21. I wonder if Dana Reeve died from the same thing as my friend. The tumor was on the exterior of the lung and not on the interior in both my friend and my niece.

I was in the doctor's office when he turned to me and told us the diagnosis. He said maybe 6 months, tops. I was in shock as was my mother. From the moment of not knowing what was wrong, she lived 10 weeks. I'm telling you, it was downhill from that moment. People with similiar experiences told me the same thing. I am so sorry for this in the life of their son. But they seemed so very close when I saw them on Oprah.
