    So you don't recognize simple sarcasm when you see it? Black humor has been a part of every civilized society since medieval times at least. If you can't effectively stop or control something, you joke about it.

    People joke about earthquakes in California and snowstorms in Minnesota. It's part of being human.

    But I put this in the category of 9/11. You dont' see too many jokes about that, either.

One is an international relations issue and the other is a scientific concern. One calls for military and/or diplomatic responses. The other calls for scientific study and possible lifestyle changes. They are completely different events calling for completely unrelated responses.

    It's sort of like saying "I like the Super Bowl, but not as much as Shakespeare."
