As one of the comments there says, shine on you crazy Goppers! He was never going to win Arizona, but just think how this looks to independents in the swing states!

McCain being on the ballot last time threw things off, but many people think AZ may turn blue, if not in 2012, then by 2016.

They do have a lot of crazy local pols, for sure. But that can turn things blue, too, if they are perceived to have gone too far by moderates.

That's just the GOP turning blue because they're holding their breath until they get their way.

You can't blame people for jumping on this, when "surprises" like this pop up... If it was a typo, then why in the hell didn't they catch it when it was printed 10 to 15 years ago or even 4 years ago during the last campaign?

This stuff is stupid. We've seen the birth certificate, the birth announcement in the Hawaii paper and the "Long form" birth certificate (any of you out their have YOUR long form? Probably not many).

I once had a piece done about me in a local Brooklyn paper. I said I had grown up in California, and when I saw the piece printed later, it said I was born in California (which I wasn't). It wasn't really worth troubling with.

Sure I can. If they believe this nonsense at this point, they're either politically motivated or obtuse.

That was my first thought too. It's like saying "I'm not racist, but..."

Next thing out of someone's mouth after that phrase is a defense of birtherism. Weird, that.

If so, wow... I have mine! The one my parents received in the mail back in early June of 1974 with the official state seal and everything... it's in an envelope marked "Lisa's birth certificate." No idea when they stopped calling me that and started using my actual name, but based on my baby book, I think it was around 4-6 months.

They are still valid BCs and can be used to get passports and drivers licenses etc.
