Each report news and edit it to support thier own biases. It is simply being selective about what they report. And to be fair, they often do it subconciously, but not always. It can be likened to some discussions on W/E. Rather than dismissing each others news sources as being valueless, perhaps we might instead honestly recognize that we prefer news sources that tend to lean toward our own political preferences. Bat as for getting all the TRUTH from a single news source, forget it. Anyway, "you couldn't handle the truth". Or could you?

"Fair and balanced" means absolutely nothing without accuracy and in depth investigative reporting. Reporters have become lazy and won't follow a story no matter where it leads or whose sacred cow gets sacrificed. That's the problem.

Washington Post yes, New York Times yes, Minneapolis Star Tribune yes, and Time magazine yes. But CNN??? I must not watch them enough to see what others are seeing. The most unbiased news source out there? No contest. US News & World Report.

It is left of center to be sure. but not far left ( for the most part) - just as Fox is right - but not far right -( again for the most part - certain commentators aside). both not so bad on general news coverage - it is certain commentators that move a little further on their own shows - and who they choose as guests and how they direct questions to get certain responses...but again one can filter all of that easily enough I view far right as Rush / Robertson etc.
