It was killing me last night listing to the McCain camp trying to put a spin on Obama's negative ads, but failing to distinguish between attacks on policy and character. Even if McCain wins, the GOP needs to come to terms with all that is wrong in that party. It's a complete mess.

The tone is certainly negative, but it deals entirely with the issue of healthcare and doesn't have any personal shots at McCain. Compare that to the ad running now questioning Obama's judgment for serving on a school advisory board with Bill Ayers. Completely different sorts of stuff.
