His goons rough up a protester, and suddenly it's his opponent's fault. Nevermind that webb had nothing to do with any of it. This, on top of portraying webb as being of low moral character based on passages of his novels, and using crude racial epithets while speaking publicly. Allen is going to be extra pathetic if he (deservedly) loses the upcoming election. After all, what's the point of selling out your own integrity, and then gain absolutely nothing for it in exchange?

The staff members were concerned about the safety of Allen so they stopped the blogger's pursuit. The blogger posed a danger, but you wouldn't know from this biased story.
