Its over John, turn out the lights on your way out and be sure to take Palin with you. We knew Cheney couldnt just keep silent. Bush has litterally gone to an undisclosed location at this point to slow the bleeding but Cheney must not really like McCain to do something so awful to him. I feel for you McCain I do. If I had to have an endorsement between Cheney or Al Queada...well, I wouldnt decide, I would just quit lol. (And yes, this thread is tongue-in-cheek....sort of )

Rumsfeld was Cheney's mentor so he wasn't too happy. IIRC, McCain tried to make nice later and even said he'd consider Cheney for a spot in a McCain administration. This *is* an interesting weekend. This endorsement immediately brought Pat Buchanan to mind. Remember when he said that McCain would make Cheney look like Ghandi? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...r1Pp-vZg

If McCain/Palin lose the election, it will be very interesting to analyze the voter demographics. Early estimates are that a significant amount of Hispanic voters that have traditionally voted Republican have been driven away by the near-constant anti-immigrant rhetoric. The party itself seems to have toned it down a bit, but it's still a staple talking point of the noise machine, and the noise machine has echoes that many people beyond the core consumers hears.

It angers me how people are deliberately twisting the "spread the wealth" around comment. They know damn good and well what he meant by that and are also ignoring the fact that "Joe" will NOT be paying more taxes under Obama's plan. They keep regurgitating it over and over again even after it's been debunked. What kind of people deliberately believe false information like this? And why do these sort of people always declare their patriotism so much more than everyone else?
