I actually thought I'd have a lower percentage for Romney. Bummer.

my heart honestly breaks for the inner city african American and hispanic community and the absolute decay of their family structure. I personally fell due in large part to the way democrats have handled the issue over the last 50 years. I worked for a Bail Bond company in downtown dallas while in college and now volunteer with my church on inner city missions. It is beyond heartbreaking and is one of the issues that angers me the most. I dont see anyone even trying to solve the real issues.

just throwing money and A LITTLE help is not solving anything and is actually, IMHO, the cause. On the other hand, I have been increasingly vocal that just saying you are against it REALY doesnt solve anything.
The fatherless homes and children with parents who dont require excellence isnt going to be solved with money or wellfare programs. Im all for us collectively helping those who genuinely cant help themselves and even for helping those who dont want to if it is taylored with a program to erradicate the social destruction of our inner city communities.

its like that with so many oissues. Its getting worse, even though Democrats increasingly get more of the funding for their solutions.
We have tried throwing more money at schools and tried the liberals solutions in our schools, but they get worse.
Do you ever wonder why these programs dont ever work, or is it just enough to say you care.

Being Australian it was fairly redundant but sometimes I wish we had the right to vote on behalf of US citizens who chose not to. I taught dance and nannied in the US, I have a lot of little American Girls ( though some are 'Tweens now) I care about and worry about.. And I wish I could vote for them.. If that makes any sense?

My parents and grandparents were poor growing up but still had a great quality of life. im talking something deeper. Spiritual emptiness and hopelessness and I am not talking about religion.
im not that far off from you Dabob2. i get what the concern is and i appreciate some things the left has done on this issue and as I have said before, even though I believe my party has the right intentions, just being against something isnt enough.
