(When in fact, they only ever caught a distorted "blurb" and never bothered to read the full story.) So ... Three things .... The more I read, the more I'm discovering the reasons for these cities going under was for religious infidelity. Not homosexuality. (That is .. should the Bible not be a total work fiction!) And the next thing - the angels turn Lot's wife into a pillar of salt because she looks back??? The Bible continues to look more like a mythological set of stories like Zeus and other the other fictional Greek gods. And Lot having sex with his two daughters .. and that's Okay with "God"? How many times can I keep scratching my head over all this?? So .. if anyone has any good links that further explores this story .. that would be great. I'd love to learn more.

The historical books are certainly no less accurate than any other history book that was written a few thousand years ago. If you're expecting an intelligent, in-depth analysis of the contents of the Bible from a liberal Christian perspective, might I suggest that consulting books on the topic, or finding yourself a knowledgable theologian from a mainstream denomination, would be a better way to go than asking a bunch of non-experts on a Disney discussion board?

Adam and Eve raised Abel and Cain about 80 miles from where Walt Disney grew up. True story.

When Joseph Smith claimed the Garden was in Missouri, it was the far west, wild frontier country. Again, it animated the lives of his followers by making their world come alive. A distinctly American faith.
