For instance, they don't open on Sundays. You might not agree with them, but they are principled. Also, the one in my neck of the woods seems to do brisk business.

All they have to do is wait it out and not do anything stupid to reignite the story, and the press will forget about it for them. Their sandwiches ARE really good (if they don't dry them out too much, which one of my local stores tends to do), and I've been wrestling with whether or not I really should be boycotting them. My auto mechanic, who I trust to the end of the earth, is a VERY conservative guy who I'm sure donates to plenty of causes I can't stand. So is one of my supervisors. So are the owners of probably dozens of other businesses I patronize on a regular basis. This is the OC after all. I haven't eaten at Chick-Fil-A in a couple months now, and I doubt I will again any time soon, but it's more an emotional rather than a logical response. I just don't feel right about eating there any more. Now if I go there I won't be thinking about waffle fries, I'll be thinking about their dingbat COO's statement, and about that Focus on the Family kid's meal I remember seeing in there a while back. Do I want to live in a country where there are red businesses and blue businesses? Do I boycott all conservatives? In-n-Out Burgers hides bible verses on some of their packaging. Should I boycott them too? Why not? Because they're less open about their support of hate groups? Because an average animal style combo #2 is better than Chick-Fil-A on their best day? I dunno. Help me out here, somebody.

I feel it would be immoral to give this man one cent more of my money that he could use against me.

Certainly Republican politics will benefit the big ones more. So I don't sweat it too much, but to be openly anti-gay in the 21st century? I'll pass on chick-Fil-A. >>Do I boycott all conservatives?
