I've said that politically she was absolutely the best choice McCain could have made, but that is a whole different thing. She appears to be a very competent individual and I think that while she doesn't have a great deal of experience; it is probably equal to Obama's. The main thing I'm doing here is to try and counteract a few of what I feel are very unfair slams at her. Among other things, good God, what possible difference does it make that she was in a picture with a dead moose? You may not believe this, but there are very many states, Minnesota being one of them, where hunting is an expected and celebrated activity. When folks dump on her for that they come off as the hoity-toity big-city liberals that conservatives claim their critics are.

I think it takes a special talent to be as lousy a President as W. So far as I can tell, Palin doesn't have any special talents that don't involve the slaughter of large mammals.
