I'm sure the guy is a jerk, but unfortunately when you run any kind of promotion you have to account for the possibility that somebody will abuse it. That's what fine print is for -- you can't rely on common sense. My sister in law has car washes for a team she coaches. People are free to donate whatever they want for having their car washed. Most people are generous, but you always have some that give $1 and then start griping about the missed spots.
