Election results look good for Democrats

Democratic victories in the New Jersey and Virginia governor’s races have things looking pretty good for the "libs". The Virginia victory must be particularly hard for the Bushies to take since Dubya appeared at an election-eve rally in Richmond for Kilgore (the Republican candidate).

We'll have to see how things go in California, but so far things are looking good. I smell major gains for Democrats in 2006!!

Was there ever any doubt that Texas would pass the constitutional amendment? What about Maine though:

We also re-elected a mayor here in Atlanta. Ms. Franklin is currently leading with about 87% of the vote.

No. but there was hope. *sigh* It just FLOORS me that no matter how much we're screwed by Republicans, my fellow Texans keep voting the way they do.

I truly belive the Democratic Parry is dying. This actually isn't a good thing bc the weaker they get the more the GOP feels free to stray away from its' roots. Hopefully the Dems will do a contract with America and try to sieze the center again....but I don't think they are there yet.

In St. Paul the incumbent Democratic Mayor lost to a Democratic challenger. Kelly the incumbent (but not endorsed by the party this time around) was trounced 69% to 30%.

Seems poor Mr. Kelly had the bad judgment to support Bush in 2004. For a St. Paul Democrat to support a Republican president is the kiss of death. He's lucky he just lost the election and not his life.

St. Paulites are a little sensitive about turncoat mayors. Current U.S. Senator Norm Coleman was originally elected Mayor in St. Paul as a Democrat and then turned Republican. Now Norm spends his time in DC brown-nosing for Bush. I suppose he will soon be joined by Kelly.

Take it from me, you'll probably get banned for a week or so too, but no one will tell you. You'll figure it out when you can't sign on.

And shame on me I suppose, but I thought the "lookee here" thing was funny.

Just remember, no matter what anybody tells you, these backwards states can pass all the prehistoric, discriminatory measures they want, they'll never pass Consitutional muster in the U.S. Supreme Court. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, has ever come up with a compelling argument to uphold them on the federal level, especially on these boards.
