    These are not "reporters", they are "sensationalists".

    Now really, who's worried about the well being of oil companies these days? Prices are at an historic all-time high, consumption is as strong as ever, and quarterly profits are breaking all records.

    And yet republicans think we need to funnel even more money to them - in the form of taxpayer subsidies. I wonder why?

    So you think US government regulation will bring down the world wide price of oil? That is interesting economic theory.

    Good question, we produce most of our own electricity and we have an abundance of natural gas. But and here us the big but, we import most of our oil, so can not control that like we can when we produce most of a commodity like we do with natural gas and electricity. (most of that comes from coal)
