It has been said in some quarters that she was murdered or brutalized by the police. Some excerpts: "The death of a woman in custody at the Phoenix airport in September was an accidental hanging, with contributing factors including "acute ethanol and prescription medication intoxication," according to a report released Friday." "The report from the Maricopa County, Arizona, medical examiner rules the specific cause of Carol Gotbaum's death was "asphyxia by hanging." "The Gotbaum family has hired its own forensic pathologist who is conducting his own autopsy to determine how died."

Naturally, because if they can find an expert to come up with some viable theory as to police misconduct or some of the wall negligence claim against the aiport authority then it is payday. What a bunch of money hungry dorks.

Rather than accept the woman unfortunately had a problem and was largely, if not totally, responsible for her own death (I mean, after all, she was even on a trip to seek help for her problems), let's pay a guy to tell us what we want to hear so we can sue.
