One night while sitting at the bar, Chuck and his date du jour came in and sat down about two seats down from me. All the chefs knew him and vice versa, and he was quite friendly with everyone sitting nearby. In fact, he bought everyone at the bar a round of sake when he ordered his drinks. He was a very down-to-earth kind of guy, and seemed to get along with just about everyone. When I hear the crap coming out of his mouth now, I can't believe it's the same person. Maybe it's years of concussions, or years of living in Orange County. I just don't know. But it's really disgusting.
