I don't need to be woken up at 4AM when the alarm goes off 3 hours later. Of course the kids found this totally unacceptable. Our son lived with us once when he was unemployed and our daughter lived with us summers when she was in college and for a brief time after graduating until she could save the money for her own place. Other than that the nest was blessedly empty!!

I had to maintain a clean room which wasn't a problem. I was responsible for one bill in the house. It worked out great. I also was able to save enough money up to put down a decent down payment on my house.

Plate-throwing or not, I wonder how much news that he still lives in his mom's basement will affect the public's view as to his qualifications to set standards for their kids' education.
