They can't cremate them because that will release radioactive material into the air. They can't bury them because they could contaminate the soil. They can't even collect them right now without endangering the retrieval teams. They could decontaminate them where they lie before transporting them, but the decomposing bodies won't hold up well to the cleaning process. I have a feeling that building new nuclear power plants is going to be off the table for a decade or two.
