No combat related deaths for the month of December.

First time since we invaded back in 2003.

Remember folks, it happened on OBAMA'S watch. Don't let the cons get away with blaming him for everything "on his watch" (which apparently began several months before he was elected President :p) without giving credit where credit is due.

And for the love of God, don't give the credit to ex-President Bush...this happened on OBAMA'S watch. ;)

Let's put this in perspective, this only goes til Oct, but Nov and Dec had record highs as well... So sure we are doing outstanding iN iraq where we have a very limited mission (most attacks are done by Iraqi army) but in Afghanistan, we aren't doing that hot.

Note to all who wish to attack me, I am only bringing in facts, I am not trying to put the President down or say he sucks, I am just trying to put the numbers Mr. X displayed in perspective...

I just enjoyed Mr. X's response to the non-stop harping of "it happened on O's watch!" in some quarters.

Exactly the intention of my threads.

I just love it when the noise machine thinks they can have their cake and eat it, too. Way too easy to use against them.

OMG-I just spit coffee all over my screen! After reading endless harping about it being on Bush's watch, you are accusing someone of telling you when something happens on Obama's watch?

Get a grip-it will be coming up a lot. It is Obama's watch and both the good and the bad will be listed under him.

It is always amusing to read how libs will attack anyone who challenges them and their thinking.

    yup-amusing.

What do you think? Is it anything like getting one's patriotism questioned for disagreeing with people like Hannity, Limbaugh and Palin? Isn't that akin to an attack? Comparing Obama to Hitler? Calling him a Marxist? Isn't one of the bedrocks of this country the right to disagree philosophically without one's character being called out?

See, and I hate that someone like you has become paranoid. I think a lot of us here are open to legitimate criticisms of the President and have made some ourselves. I'm still more of a fan than, say, mawnck, but I have my issues as well.

I think what gets some of us (at least me) so fired up and incensed is when I see the same people who gave Bush a pass on ANYTHING the guy did, now show up and make a federal case out of the tiniest of Obama's gaffes, or even non-issues. Teleprompters? Speaking to school children? Good lord!

Then people say, "Oh well you guys went after Bush but I can't complain about Obama!?" That kind of simplistic thinking is killing our country. You're really going to equate criticizing a President for botching a war, letting the people who attacked us get away, privileging the wealthy over the middle class, etc., etc., with a President who uses teleprompters and said the police acted stupidly?

One of these things is not like the other.
