I could have told you that Netanyahu wasn't going to go for this. Obama's statement yesterday was mostly political theater. Whatever the case, there are no questions now as to where the US stands on this issue. "And Obama's people must have thought by embarissing Israel they would back down. They would not want our president to look so foolish in public if they did not believe it." I don't agree that the objective was to embarrass Israel. The administration is trying to take a firm stance on what it believes is fair deal. I haven't seen or read a lot of details about the meeting, but I reject your claim that Obama looked "foolish" because of Netanyahu's rejection of his endorsement of Palestine on the issue of Israel's borders.

No. What you need to do is stop for a moment and think about WHY those countries hate Israel. The disputed borders are a huge point of contention and justifiably so. Thus, there will be no chance for peace unless there are some major concessions made on both sides.
