We last visited DL in 2003 and I can't remember where I read this, but is Soarin' still open 30 min before the rest of DCA? So if DCA is scheduled to open at 10am, can we get in and ride Soarin' at 9:30am?

Thanks & sorry if this is in the wrong section.

DCA does open its turnstiles at 9:30 AM daily. The only area avialbe before 10 AM are the Sunshine Plaza area, where the Bakery is open and serving breakfast and the pathway to the GCH that goes by Soarin'. This allows both turnstiles to open, and allow GCH guests to access the bakery for breakfast.

Since the only attraction in the area that is open to guests is Soarin', Disney does open it early at 9:30 and any guest can go see the film.

Otherwise you will be waiting for the ropes to drop, there is one at the Hollywood Picture Backlot arch, another set just to the west of the Sun Fountain, basically cutting off the parade route just past the pathway to Condor Flats. A third rop is set up just south of the GCH entrance, next to the GRR lockers. All three are dropped at 10 AM.

    Have a good trip.

Everytime we went into the park early the lines for Soarin' were pretty much nothing. You might have to wait through one cycle, but that's the most we've ever waited.
