Looks like a good opportunity for a group booking, I'll post it in the LP Meets section.

"The national tour of High School Musical, with Broadway stars Ron Bohmer and Ellen Harvey, officially opens Aug. 1.

Disney Theatrical Productions presents the stage version of the Disney Channel original movie. Jeff Calhoun (Big River) — who originally staged the show at Atlanta's Theatre of the Stars — directs the touring production."

Nope! The song is intact, and there are two new songs including a very cute one with cell phones. A lot of the dialog has been fleshed out to make more sense.

My daughter's school did this show and the adaptation works well on stage.

It reminds me of when Britney Spears' song "Oops, I Did It Again" would play on Radio Disney but they cut out the lyrics "I'm not that innocent". The music would play with no vocals. Very strange, but I guess they didn't want little girls singing along to that.

lest my ears deceive me, at the official site that's exactly what they say (you may have to advance the song ticker at the top to hear it):

I've heard several songs butchered by Radio Disney.

    Will look into the tour!!!
