    Not familiar with the lighthouse you're referring to, perhaps someone else knows more about it.

    There really isn't much besides KSC.. If you want some space history but not KSC they have the astronaut hall of fame. Is the lighthouse you are mentioning Ponce Inslet? It's closer to Daytona than Port Canaveral (so about an hour to two hours north) but its a fun little adventure.

    Cocoa Beach is nice and if you like surf gear then the Ron Johns Surfshop is fun.
