    I think a lot of people overlook the market that TDLR is in. The performance wouldn't be the same if the exact same resort that was built in Tokyo were in Dubai, for example.

And see Shanghai Disneyland as an opportunity to advertise its product and name to China's one billion population. OLC should seriously consider the offer. With an ageing and declining population in Japan who may end up spending less at the parks with falling wages. OLC may need to explore new ways to make money. Shanghai Disneyland may be the answer.

    ^^I never know what you can and can't comment on. That's why we really must get together one of these days ... we can either bash the hell out of each oher about business matters or compare our love of DAK, EPCOT and DCA's original entertainment :)

    But I tend to think this 'deal' will happen largely for the reasons Malin mentioned above.

    Makes sense for both OLC and TWDC, really. And I heard this mentioned before and kinda brushed it off ... more I think about it, more sense it makes.

    I wonder if Disney has made any official comment on the story. Haven't had a chance to look ...
