7 restaurants for Half Board Programme

La Cantina (Sante Fe Counter Service)
Chuck Wagon Cafe (Cheyenne Counter Service)
Crockett's Tavern (Camp Davy Crockett - car needed)
Silver Spur Steakhouse in Frontierland (one of the Baloo's favorites!!!)
Plaza Gardens in Main Street (Baloos recommend this buffet)
Rendez Vous des Stars (in the Studios - poor choice)
Annettes in the Village (Great Value Burger BAr)

Half Board Plus include those plus:

Hunter's Grill (excellent meat restaurant in Sequoia Lodge)
Cape Cod (Newport Bay Club - not great)
Parkside Diner Hotel New York - great value restaurant
Auberge de Cindrillon - French restaurant in the Castle Grounds - hit and miss in our experience.
Lucky Nugget Saloon - ok tex mex character experience
The Steakhouse in the Village - we have had 3 excellent meals, but be sure to book!
La Grange at Billy Bob's in the Village - ok Tex Mex buffet.

Of all of these, I would recommend the Silver Spur, The Steakhouse, Annettes, Plaza Inn, Hunter's Grill, Parkside Diner, and maybe Auberge.

You can use the value of the half board plan towards the cost of your meals at:

California Grill at the Disneyland Hotel (awesome restaurant and better than anything at WDW in my experience.
Innoventions (great international character buffet at the DLH)
Manhattan Restaurant in the HNY - one of our favs.
Yacht Club at the NBC - does great shell fish including a steak and lobster surf and turf - yum!
BEaver Creek Tavern - nice BBQ place with an all you can eat dessert bar at the SL
Walt's an American Restaurant - Main Street - fantastic atmosphere, almost like Club 33 at DL with Imagineering concept art. The food is French American fusion and quite good.
Blue Lagoon restaurant - set in Pirates of the Caribbean - this fish restaurant has a great atmosphere, but the food is aweful, and they have a rat problem. Avoid.
Cafe Mickey - a fun character restaurant in the Village with great stone baked pizzas
Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show - an awesome stunt show and BBQ dinner. A real gem at DLP and the best horse/stunt show I think I've seen anywhere - 9 times at BB's and I still want to go back!

Any questions, let me know. We've eaten at all the restaurants, so hopefully we can help.

BTW - the Dining plan will not include King Ludwigs, Planet Hollywood, or the Rain Forest Cafe in the Village. we highly recommend King Ludwigs.

BTW - for our tastes our fav US restaurants:

WDW - California Grill, all the Epcot Table Service, Artist Point.

DL - Napa Rose, Blue Bayou, Granville's, HOB, Goofy's Kitchen

This dining plans seems a lot better we love Annettes, we will be sure to try some of the others you recommend. Thanks again.

I know quite often that DLP will only give you face value on their old voucher scheme, and then you could top it up. I imagine this may be worse case scenario, but I would check with them directly.

Let us know if you are going next year. You may even meet the Baloos (hope that doesn't put you off!)

I know points are often used for the Disneyland Hotel and the Hotel New York. There is a small rumour of DVC DLP coming in the next decade, but I am a little cynical.
