I saw them at the nffc show last year and was blown away by the things they were designing at the time. ...and if you don't know about these guys yet, by golly, you really need to get informed. Also, I think it would be great if Kevin and Jody were to occasionally release an extinct attraction piece, namely, a model of the phantom boat (love those tail fins), a working clock of the world and an HO scale train set of the Viewliner. Alas, I doubt if the market is very large for these but I can dream.

Originally Posted By Powerhouse <<"Also, I think it would be great if Kevin and Jody were to occasionally release an extinct attraction piece...">> Jody Daily's house of the future model is a really great representation. The box it came in was surprisingly nice too. I'd like to see K&J do something major based on Adventure Thru Inner Space. Disneyland should never have taken that ride out. Kevin and Jody could do something with the microscope and the giant eyeball maybe. I bought the Enchanted Tiki Room drummer god which I haven't heard many people here talk about. Did anyone here get one...and what did you think of it? I thought it was excellent.

Your extinct attraction idea about Inner Space is great. Maybe Kevin and Jodi read the boards and will agree with some of our suggestions. Guys, are you listening? How about a big figure/fountain of Skull Rock with the pirate ship.

We have more than a few items I think you are all going to love (and be surprised by....no hints). I'm hoping we get a sample of the Mark Twain in time for the show as it is coming out fantastic! There will be no 50th overdress as we did tons of reasearch and were able to base our replica on the original 1955 boat (which is before the rear stairways were moved to make way for the stage added for the dixieland nights in the early 60's). Currently we are trying to finalize the correct flags used on the boat on opening day. If I don't get the sample in I promise to bring images of the model (plus some of the cool reference pics we found) and we can pour over as many obsessive details as you can stand. Hope you all can make it, -j

These last couple of years have been a dream come true for me re collecting Disney Park merchandise. Keep up the great work. Bill.

What were those pieces exactly, and can you still buy them anywhere? Someone should do a catalog or pictorial list of all the Disney items these guys have done over the years. Much of it, I'm sure, was uncredited, so it would be a great help to those of us who want to start collecting "K&J" stuff.... Thanks for all the info guys - and Jody, it's awesome you chimed in here. I'll be at the NFFC show in July - and I'm stoked about the Mark Twain! You've got my money, sight unseen, because I know it's gonna be gorgeous with you guys creating it.

If you would want it to fit on HO track, it would then be an HO gauge model, not scale.

Originally Posted By leemac <<BTW how does one get in with Disney to design stuff, I've always been curious and have had some ideas rollin around the old noggin for a while>> It is tough deadmentellnotales. Very hard as Disney will not accept any unsolicited material for fear of breach of copyright issues later. You would need to look at disneycareers.com to see if there are any internal openings in your field.

HO GUAGE would result in a larger model but then it would be out of scale with the rest of the land. Purely selfish reason on my part for wanting the train in HO scale. Bill.
