And it has grown and grown.
And the big (huge) meet sounds great.
But I got to thinking that maybe a smaller big meet could be fun. There had been talk earlier about Big Thunder BBQ. Rancho has lots of seating.
    So, I am just checkin'.
Anyone want to do a lunch meet?
    Brown bag or resturant?
    Input welcome.

Sounds like a good idea. If it happens, count me in.

The last two times i've eaten there I've had an upset stomach.

I do love the food and BigThunder Ranch but don't love the entertainment. But the food is worth it.

Rod and I have had several lunch meets at Rancho and it worked really well. We always bring our own food.

It's actually down to $19.99 for lunch now. But of course they took things away to come to that price. Drinks and desserts are now a separate charge.

I also think $9.99 for my little ones to eat here is a bit much. I don't think they would eat enough food to make it worth that price. In general we avoid foods like coleslaw that can turn bad easily on vacation... Beans are usually really salty, does anyone know if that is the case here?
When it was a character meal I would have been more willing to pay a bit more.

A family-style meal would be fun, but I don't care for BBQ (it's the sauce - :p). The menu at BTR is definitely limited. I agree with amazed, perhaps those who want to do the BBQ shouldn't feel bad about having a separate lunch meet.

That will give us more choices.

First of all, I never planned for this to be *my* meet. I just wanted to put the idea out there.
Rancho seems to be the best choice for the most to me for these reasons:
    Price
When you make ressies I think the biggest group they accept is 10. (That has been my past experience with PS.)
Rancho leaves the option of having food other than what is offered at one place.
Rancho leaves the meet open until the last day and can even accomodate drop-ins.
I do not think the Bar-B-Q is as much fun now as it was.
Anyone else's input is still welcome.
    Should we vote on it?

My friend tried the cupcake at BTR and was disappointed with it. So it's probably a good thing that it doesn't come with the meal.
