Disclaimer: I'm not suggesting anybody lie, cheat or steal to get one, I'm just wondering if they are enforcing the zip code requirement right now.

I even had a nice chat with the CM who was issuing them about where we lived in NorCal b/c she was familiar with the area. This made the 7th year we've gotten SoCal AP's without anyone so much as questioning it. Then last August (3rd week) I went to purchase one for our now 3 1/2 year old and was told by the CM that they would issue him one b/c the rest of my family had one, but he would put a "check address" notation in our file for our entire family when we went to renew them. However, I recently recieved my renewel forms for the 6 of us with the option of a SoCal AP. I have no idea if I will have a problem when I try to renew them by internet or mail (haven't decided which way to do it). So I would agree that during off-season they are much more relaxed about it- AND it totally depends on who you talk to. I never lie about where we live and always assume there is a chance they'll say "no". There are a TON of black-out dates with both the SoCal passes, so IMO you are still getting what you paid for (no cheating involved). We can only go during off-season anyway so it makes economical since for our family of 7.

    HTH!:)
