I could see that potentially creating some problems when coming into port to dock and stuff, but I would assume that it's high enough up that there really wouldn't be anything close to the ship that might get in the way.

I just hope that it doesn't suffer from the same problem as the clear tubes through the dolphin pool at Aquatica, where you're going so fast that you can't see what's going on. I think a fun way to fix that might be to have the start of the slide be at the edge of the ship, and you have to push your self off 'over the edge'. That would definatley be a little freaky the first few times, and it would get the full impact of the height. I'm sure they're clever enough to figure something out to make it work.

It definately sounds like a neat selling point, especially to families with teenagers, who I would assume would generally not want to go on a Disney cruise. It's a new take on something that's now fairly common in the industry, just enough to set it apart from the rest. I wonder what else they are thinking of adding to make their new ships extra unique.

Methinks it would be difficult to make it scary though. I can appreciate the idea that it's "a thin clear sheet of plastic", but wouldn't it seem a lot thicker (and thus "safer")?

Sounds very neat though. I look forward to the finished product!
